Hepburn Wind
The Hepburn Community Wind Park Co-operative Ltd was officially registered on 28th August 2007 and is know as Hepburn Wind.
This community co-operative will be the owner and operator of the Wind Park.
Hepburn Wind is governed by an elected Board of nine Directors. These Directors have all made a commitment to work together
to make sure the Wind Park is a successful project and a worthy first for Australia.

Simon Holmes a Court, Chairman
As a (part-time) resident for 5 years, and regular visitor for 15, Simon has a strong connection to the Daylesford/Hepburn region.
His farm, halfway between Daylesford and Leonard's Hill, is powered by a solar-hybrid system.
For two years Simon headed up a project researching alternate energy solutions for remote cattle stations in the northern territory.
He understands that environmentally sustainable technologies also need to be financially sustainable.
In university days, Simon was a director of a large student organisation for 3 years, and worked at the local, national and international
level, with a focus on communications and public relations. He spent 3 years studying Cognitive and Computer Science at Dartmouth
College (USA) and worked in Silicon Valley for 4 years. For the last 5 years Simon has been building a Melbourne based company, Observant
Pty Ltd, that designs and manufactures farm automation systems (11 employees), as well as consulting on energy efficiency in the northern
pastoral industry. Simon is a director of Heytesbury Pty Ltd, one of Australia's largest private companies, have undertaken directors' training
with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and recently completed a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment (FINSIA).

David Wait, Secretary
David is employed as an IT manager and has 20 years of experience in the field of IT infrastructure. Managing data centre electrical and
mechanical systems has been his specialty for the last five years.
David currently leads an IT sustainability team. His experience includes providing advice on the IT requirements for construction projects,
including a 5 Star Green Star office building and a world class data centre.
David is a leader of carbon neutral strategy in his profession.

Koos Hulst, Director
Koos is a Dutch national and has a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a Master's in process engineering (1988), both
from Delft University in The Netherlands. Koos has worked with large and small engineering firms in The Netherlands and lived and
worked in The Philippines for nine years.
For the last ten years of his professional career Koos has worked as an environmental engineer in the design and construction
of biological treatment facilities for industrial wastewater. Koos is also a graduate of the Permaculture Design Course held by
the Permaculture Institute at Melbourne University in September 2005.
In 2007 Koos joined the Daylesford CFA as a volunteer fire fighter and successfully completed a five-month training programme.
As a member of the Destination Daylesford Steering Committee he is involved in the development of a ten-year Strategic Plan for
the delivery of a sustainable tourism industry for the communities of Daylesford, Hepburn Springs and district.

Mim Dineen, Director
Mim is an Occupational Therapist, with experience in the health and aged care industry for 10 years.
Mim has lived in the Hepburn Shire for 2 years. It is the community focus and social awareness that made Mim and her husband choose to
move to the area for the long term.
Mim has been involved in a number of local activities, in particular the Glenlyon Music Festival (Glenfest) holding the positions of
secretary and treasurer. Mim is passionate about communities taking responsibility for their needs and providing good examples
to government and other communities. Mim has also been a member and convener of professional working parties and committees.
Mim was a member of the Co-operative Steering Committee which established the Co-op's Rules and drafted the initial Disclosure Statement.

Scott Kinnear, Director
Scott has been Vice President of the Hepburn Renewable Energy Association Inc since its establishment.
Scott with his partner Anita have four children and have for 16 years operated the Organic Wholefoods stores in Melbourne and
Daylesford. Scott has a long involvement in community organisations. He is the former Chair of the Centre for Education and
Research in Environmental Strategies (CERES), Former and founding Chair of the Organic Federation of Australia (OFA), Current
Board Member of Biological Farmers of Australia (BFA) and current Chair of GeneEthics Network.
Scott is passionately committed to community ownership and the taking of responsibility for the renewable generation of our energy needs.

Phil Hanson, Director
Phil has been on the Committee of the Hepburn Renewable Energy Association Inc since its establishment.
Phil has been active in community organisations most of his professional career spanning 22 years, and is passionate about
sustainability, particularly environmental sustainability. As a Director and senior financial manager he has over the last
10 years been responsible for the finances and financial management of 3 award winning organisations ranging in size
from $8million to $150m in turnover.
Phil qualified as a CPA in 1984, an FCPA in 2004 and graduated for the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2005.
He is excited about the benefits Australia's first community owned and managed wind park will bring to Hepburn and its residents.

Per Bernard, Director
Per has been President of the Hepburn Renewable Energy Association Inc since its establishment.
Per owns and operates a high profile sustainable architectural and building firm in Daylesford, Unicorn House. Per was raised
in Denmark and has extensive knowledge of the wind industry.
Per has championed the community wind park concept since its inception and has been instrumental in garnering local support.
